Over the years I had heard of Parkingson’s Disease. I guess it was first brought to my attention by the Michael J. Fox show on television. About three years ago it became a reality, not a “show”. I received a telephone call advising me that one of my sister was having “balance” problems. After attending seminares it became obvious that my sister had Parkinson’s.
She soon became a resident of an assisted living facility. I found out that assisted living facilities, while familiar with Parkinson’s, were not really equipped to effectively meet the needs of a Parkinson’s resident.
More research showed me Parkinson’s patients have multiple special needs, one of the most important being “EXCERCISE”. And understand staff with good knowledge of Parkinson’s would be a big plus.
I was fortunate to find ONE BIG PLUS in meeting the important needs of the Parkinson’s patient, Bill Wild. Bill is a professional physical trainer who specializes in working with the needs of Parkinson’s patients. While he can’t perform miracles, he does get great results. He has worked with my sister for about two years. Our goal is to keep her out of Nursing Homes and in the more comfortable atmosphere of an Assisted Living Facility, where she still currently resides. I highly recommend Bill to anyone that could use his knowledge and long time experience of working with Parkinson’s patients.

I cannot begin to describe the impact that bill Wild has had on the battle we were fighting with Parkinson’s Disease. My husband, Jerry, was Ph.D., and athlete in college and an active man. When we met Bill Wild, Jerry was having a hard time with balance, walking any distance, and his quality of life was greatly diminished. Right away, Bill was able to recognize the problems, put Jerry at ease and find common interests. In other words he became an instant friend. Bill has a gently way of dealing with clients and their families. He has a wonderful way of incorporating the right exercise while maintaining a warm, caring attitude. He is able to motivate without any pressure. His knowledge and experience are vast, and yet, he continues to learn more about this degenerative disease.
Bill was a really big factor in improving the quality of life during the last two years of Jerry’s life. He also was very concerned and aware of the difficulties of the family, and especially of the caregiver. With Bill’s help, we were able to once again go out to restaurants, movies and other outings. Jerry was able to walk for 2-3 blocks and to do it standing tall. Bill was a wonderful motivating factor in the desire to keep on going and not give up.
I highly recommend Bill Wild as a very caring professional who will enhance the quality of life for anyone with a debilitating neurological disease.

Bill Wild has discovered the secret of long life and wisdom – passionate engagement in work that you love and joyful connection with those you encounter! He is knowledgeable and effective and his clients benefit accordingly. You will never regret working with him and you will come to appreciate his gifts every day as the quality of your life improves exponentially.
I first heard about Bill Wild through an unsolicited recommendation from one of the caregivers employed at my mother’s ALF. She told me “one of my clients says that he was a miracle worker for her so I wanted to give you his number”. I am so glad I followed up. Within two weeks (two weeks!) of working with Bill just two days per week, my mother was out of a wheelchair and back using her walker. Family members came to visit one month later and remarked on her cognitive improvement. I cannot say enough about Bill’s work. He is joyful and uncompromising with his clients and he gets results! I also love that he respects them enough to explain why and what he is doing and he truly enjoys his work.
You could certainly do worse for yourself or your family members, but you could hardly do better anywhere.

I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2008 and have gone thru ups and downs over the years as to my ability to function out in the world as I would like without being encumbered by the physical and mental effects of my disease.
I have pursued physical strength and balance training in professional work out environments with mixed degrees of success- but none on an enduring and consistent basis.
During a recent relapse I began to stumble and fall when walking. This condition constricted my ability to move around resulting in limiting where I could go and what I could do. This restricted greatly my ability to enjoy what had been my normal life routine. It also strongly affected my mental level of anxiety and tendency to emotionally withdraw from contact with the community around me.
My medical team treating me for Parkinson’s suggested I retain a trained specialist who could help me with my physical and mental training to help overcome the issues mentioned above. They recommended Bill Wild and his firm Parkinson’s Lifestyle Management, Inc. We started working together approximately 3 months ago 3 days per week. The results have been outstanding. I would without exception highly recommend Bill’s services and program approach.
I observed that Bill practices, preaches and teaches with his program what the name of his company communicates -Manage One’ s Lifestyle – to the maximum ability possible given one’s disability or illness. Although physical therapy and training are an important part of combating the limitations affecting my ability to carry out my normal life routine, it is not the end-all solution. Physical exercise is the beginning tipping point of an overall program to enhance my quality of life – not an excessive part, but a starting at my age on which to build my own lifestyle management platform. This overall objective means building a platform that enables and helps me manage my disease, increase the boundaries of my desired new “real life “, thereby creating a robust program to guide my life to its fullest potential.
This is the foundation of the program Bill introduced to me.He led me through the numerous steps needed to build the desired quality of life experience. It meant putting together the mental, physical and emotional parts of the life I wished to pursue. It meant establishing a broad lifestyle quality improvement goal (objective) as to how I wanted to live to the fullest degree possible even with my disease and disability.
With this in mind, Bill helped me map out specific strategies and action plans to achieve this overall goal (objective). Thereby, managing my disease. Thereby, not let it control and constrict me.
After working with Bill on the Lifestyle Management Approach I saw its logic and my own positive result. I was also able to visualize the lifestyle management approach as similar to what I had seen and practiced in my professional business career of over 40 plus years. As chief executive of several publicly traded consumer branded companies, we were most successful when our management team came together and set mutually agreed upon goals (objectives), strategies and specific action plans to achieve the best for our companies and the stockholders we represented.
The same process can work for an individual and I believe Bill’s Parkinson’s Lifestyle Management program has done much for me in spite of my disease.
Again I highly recommend Parkinson’s Lifestyle Management and Bill Wild, its principal owner.
Personally, Bill is a guiding example of the qualities desired from one who is working closely with you on your combined physical, emotional and spiritual issues all to improve your quality of life.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for everything you did for me and my mother during the last 3 plus years she was with us. I cannot tell you how much you impacted our lives and how grateful we were to have found you.
As you know, Mom was diagnosed with Parkinson’s when she was in her mid 80’s. She came out of rehab walking very little and only with a walker. She was also unable to get in and out of bed unassisted or perform other routine daily tasks on her own. Our neurologist highly recommended your services, and you were exactly what Mom needed.
As you know she lead a very sedentary lifestyle and was very resistant to any type of physical activity. You came in and from day one established an amazing rapport with her. Your professionalism, your humor, your knowledge, and your determination to not give up on her were amazing. You were able to show her that you would not expect more from her that she was able to do and that you would progress at a level that she could keep up with, yet at the same time push her to do more than she thought she could do.
After just a short while you had her walking without the walker, she was able to get in and out of bed by herself, put on her own socks and shoes, shower unassisted going for several years. Her confidence soared and we were thrilled with the results you achieved with her. Even on the days where she struggled, didn’t want to cooperate, or refused to get out of bed, you were able to make the most of the situation and get her moving.
You were the first one to recognize that there may be something else going on besides the Parkinson’s that prompted me to get her further evaluated and realize that she also had Lewy body Dementia. Sharing your knowledge of the progression of these diseases, helped me to understand so much more of what was going on with her and the potential for what would come next and I am eternally grateful for that.
As Mom grew older and the disease progressed, I was impressed at how you were still able to get her up and moving. When others thought she was becoming bed bound, you had her walking. My heart is still full of joy that you were there with her until the end. You were one of only a small few of us who could make her light up and smile when you walked into the room. She did love you so very dearly and was so grateful for you.
For me you were a saving grace, providing me with amazing insight into her condition and what to expect as her disease progressed. I am so grateful that you always checked on me as well and asked me how I was doing; something caregivers don’t often hear. You were such a huge part of my support system and it felt as though you were part of the family. I am so thankful that you always had an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, and went well above and beyond what my expectations were.
I am forever thankful that you came into our lives. I know you have touched the lives of so many others and each and every one of them is lucky to have you.
